Gaggle is always looking for ways to make school safety and communication easier for our partners. We have now enhanced our Portal to better support Ohio schools in compliance with ORC 3319.327. The legislation requires timely communication with guardians when a student device has been monitored, like in cases where a student incident has been generated in Gaggle.

This new functionality allows Gaggle Emergency Contacts to send notifications to guardians directly through the Gaggle Portal, seamlessly and efficiently. Manual emails are no longer needed and you can automatically notify guardians about incidents, saving valuable time and reducing workload.

The guardian notification functionality is designed to operate automatically, allowing staff to focus on more important work. We understand that not every incident requires a guardian notification. In instances where a notification would be unnecessary, staff can turn it off for a particular incident.

Although this feature was initially developed for Ohio schools to meet ORC 3319.327 requirements, we’re excited to share that it’s now available to all Gaggle customers upon request. Whether you’re in Ohio or elsewhere, you can take advantage of this streamlined process to improve your incident management and communication workflows.

If you’d like to learn more about this feature or how it can benefit your district, please don’t hesitate to contact our Support team at support@gaggle.net. We’re here to help you make safety communication as simple and effective as possible.
