The Challenge:

Located in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, Northern York County School District serves more than 3,000 students across four elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The district needed to monitor students' Microsoft 365 accounts for concerning activity in a 1:1 laptop environment.

Quick Action to Prevent Student Suicide

The Results:

Gaggle student safety software was put to the test recently when a student used his computer to write a suicide note to his family detailing his plan, outlining his struggles, and essentially saying goodbye to them. Gaggle flagged the document as a potential problem and immediately alerted the school’s administrators.

With a new 1:1 initiative underway, School District 87 in Illinois needed to gain better visibility over students’ online activities to prevent bullying, fighting, suicide, and self-harm.
