WHAT: On April 6, 2010, Gaggle.Net, Inc. (Delaware Corporation), based in Bloomington, IL USA, was issued a trademark for Gaggle™ from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

WHY: Due to an increase in media coverage regarding the Gaggle – Local Message Board App, available on Apple iTunes and the Google Play Store, media members are encouraged to recognize the clear distinction between Gaggle.Net, Inc. and the app offered by Factyle, Inc.

DETAILS: For almost 15 years, Gaggle’s mission has been focused on student safety so educators can have the confidence to allow learners to take advantage of current technology for communication, collaboration and productivity. Gaggle.Net, Inc. has taken action with Apple, Google, the owner of the app and our attorney, requesting that the Gaggle – Local Message Board App be removed from iTunes and the Play Store. Unfortunately, Gaggle.Net, Inc. continues to have no success in getting it removed, and is now seeking further legal advice.

When covering the Gaggle – Local Message Board App, media members are urged to clearly distinguish the differences between it and Gaggle.Net, Inc.
