Checking All of the Boxes in Digital Safety

The Challenge - Maze

The Challenge:

Yorkville Community Unit School District 115 is primarily located in Kendall County, in a rural area approximately 50 miles southwest of Chicago. It serves more than 6,200 students, so equipping each student with their own device in a 1:1 program was a huge undertaking.

They knew they would need a way to monitor student Google accounts to keep their students safe online.

A Proactive Approach to Online Student Safety

The Solution - Lightbulb

The Solution:

The district implemented Gaggle, a powerful tool for keeping students safe online. The tool allows the district to take a proactive approach, versus a traditional reactive approach to student safety.

The Results:

Since implementing Gaggle, Yorkville CUSD 115 has been alerted to about six different instances of “legitimate concern” that it may have otherwise been unaware of. Thanks to the district’s student safety management platform, administrators are able to quickly intervene, reach out to the students’ parents, inform them about the conversations that are taking place, and get the students the help they need.

“There are students who are alive today because of Gaggle.”
