Part 1: How Camden County Schools Brought Mental Health Support to Students Through Teletherapy
NORTH CAROLINA | UNDER 5000 STUDENTS | GAGGLE COACHING & THERAPY
Camden County Schools, a district of about 1,900 students, faced a critical gap in mental health support due to the absence of local providers. In response to rising post-pandemic needs, the district used a $100,000 state grant to launch Gaggle Coaching & Therapy, offering teletherapy directly to students.
Led by Michael Reaves, Director of Student Services, the rollout emphasized school-level flexibility, strong family communication, and stigma reduction. Sessions are held at home or school based on student needs, with support from staff for logistics and registration. Gaggle Coaching & Therapy now plays a key role in Camden’s broader commitment to accessible, student-centered care.
