Gaggle Press Releases

WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 1, 2014) - The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) announced today that Gaggle’s safe, online teaching and learning platform has been named a finalist for the 2014 SIIA Education CODiE Awards for Best Education Cloud-based Solution. The CODiEs are the premier awards for the software and information industries, recognizing product excellence for 29 years in more than 75 categories.

This year’s program features 31 education categories, several of which are new or updated to reflect the latest industry trends and business models. Winners will be announced during a special awards dinner at the nation’s leading education technology conference, the Education Industry Summit, in San Francisco on Tuesday, May 13, 2014.

“We are honored to yet again be a CODiE finalist,” said Gaggle CEO and founder Jeff Patterson. “This new category is perfectly aligned with who Gaggle is and what our organization provides to school districts and education institutions all over the world.”

Gaggle is now a 15-time CODiE award finalist, winning the 2012 SIIA CODiE Award for Best Cross-Curricular Solution. Specifically created for K-12, Gaggle features built-in processes and classroom workflows designed to promote educator and student productivity. Educators can easily create, assign, collect and correct assignments on their schedule, while promoting student engagement and embracing the benefits of social networking in a safe and controlled environment.

“This year’s finalists are breaking ground with new business models and innovative products,” said Karen Billings, vice president of the SIIA Education Division. “I look forward to honoring them all in May at the Education Industry Summit.”
