The Challenge:

Located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in rural Tennessee, Greeneville City Schools serves about 3,000 students across seven schools. There is simply not enough time in the day for an individual—or the district as a whole—to monitor how students are using their devices in this 1:1 Tennessee school district.

The Solution:

Greeneville City Schools enlisted the help of Gaggle to provide an extra set of eyes to keep track of what students were saying and feeling in the district’s Microsoft 365 environment. In addition, Gaggle provides them with a dashboard that contextualizes searches and pulls everything together into a format that’s easy to search and reference.

The Results:

Gaggle helped Greeneville City Schools intervene in multiple suicide attempts, as well as other attacks, incidents involving self-harm, and the sharing of inappropriate content. According to a Greeneville City Schools district employee, Gaggle's student safety platform has benefitted the district in ways that simply can’t be measured from a quantitative perspective.
