Part 1: How Camden County Schools Brought Mental Health Support to Students Through Teletherapy

NORTH CAROLINA |  UNDER 5000 STUDENTS | GAGGLE THERAPY

Camden County Schools, a district of about 1,900 students, faced a critical gap in mental health support due to the absence of local providers. In response to rising post-pandemic needs, the district used a $100,000 state grant to launch Gaggle Therapy, offering teletherapy directly to students.

Led by Michael Reaves, Director of Student Services, the rollout emphasized school-level flexibility, strong family communication, and stigma reduction. Sessions are held at home or school based on student needs, with support from staff for logistics and registration. Gaggle Therapy now plays a key role in Camden’s broader commitment to accessible, student-centered care.

Bringing Mental Health Support to Students with Gaggle Therapy

Led by Director of Student Services Michael Reaves, the district rolled out the program with school-level flexibility, clear family communication, and stigma-reducing language.

By offering therapy sessions at home or school and providing hands-on support with registration and tech, Camden created an accessible, student-centered solution that now plays a key role in their broader commitment to mental health and well-being.

Other Case Studies

Red Clay Consolidated School District in Wilmington, Delaware, is the largest district in the state, serving approximately 16,000 students. After experiencing sub-par service from two other safety solution providers, district administrators reverted back to Gaggle Safety Management for Google.
After rolling out a 1:1 Chromebook program across grades K-8, this California district needed to ensure that students would be protected online. Gaggle has helped the district save a student life every year since its implementation and enabled educators to intervene in cases of bullying and self-harm.
This Ohio district has been using Gaggle for years, but the explosion of technology now makes the online student safety platform more critical than ever. When some grades moved to 1:1, Gaggle picked up on even more student situations, ensuring that administrators are making the right investment choice year after year.
