Gaggle Trainer Named Google Certified Educator

Tracy Duncan Travels More Than 130,000 Miles in One Year to Help Children Learn, Keep Students Safe, and Save Teachers Time

Bloomington, IL (December 11, 2014) – No one understands the importance of integrating educational technology inside the classroom better than Tracy Duncan, a trainer and account manager at Gaggle, who earlier this year was named a Google Certified Educator.

Duncan proved her proficiency in Google Apps for Education by taking courses and exams on Google Sites, Gmail, Calendar, Docs and Drive. Schools that use these products often turn to Gaggle for its Safety Management for Google Apps, which enhances Google Apps for Education’s compliance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA), creating a safe online learning environment for students.

“We’re proud of Tracy and our entire team of trainers and account managers who devote so much time to assuring that schools discover the best ways to incorporate educational technology into the classroom,” said Jeff Patterson, Gaggle’s CEO and founder.

Duncan is also working towards her Google Education Trainer badge, which requires a detailed training resume and references, as well as a video and case study. A true road warrior, she’s working on this “stamp of approval” from Google while traversing the country. In the 2014 calendar year, Duncan logged over 130,000 air miles and spent more than 125 nights in hotels across the country.

“The biggest rewards are the thank-yous that I receive while meeting some incredible and passionate educators,” she said. “I want to help them regardless of the tools they’re using, and becoming a Google Certified Educator is just one way to get there.”

Duncan also hopes to receive her Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) certification before the end of the 2014-15 school year.
