Every day, 12 children die from gun violence in the US. Another 32 are shot and injured. Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among children ages 10 - 14. Nearly 20% of high school students report serious thoughts of suicide and 9% have made an attempt to take their lives. LGBTQ youth are four times more likely to consider suicide. This violence stems from an obvious, ongoing mental health crisis in our nation. What if there were a way for AI to detect red flags when it comes to teens and kids regarding suicide, gun violence, pornography, vandalism, gangs, and cyber bullying.
