Centralia High School has introduced a monitoring service for student e-mail accounts.

Superintendent Chuck Lane says it’s another step to protect students.

“Gaggle is a tool for our district to use to improve the safety and wellness of our students.  It will monitor their content searched online and school-appointed emails to make sure if they are talking about harming themselves or bringing a weapon to school it will alert us and we will contact the parent and the student.  It’s just another way to keep our students safe.”

Lane says they will continue to use the app, Apptegy. It will now allow for increased communication between the school, parents, and students.
