Need E-Rate Assistance This Weekend or Next Week?

The Schools and Libraries Program (SLD) has announced that the Client Service Bureau (CSB) will be open this weekend from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET to provide assistance to E-rate applicants. To reach CSB, call (888) 203-8100.

Call volumes are significantly higher during the last few days of the filing window. 2014-15 applicants are encouraged to call this weekend, or on weekdays before 11 a.m. or after 5:30 p.m. ET, to reach an agent quickly. Hit ‘0’ when you reach the automated attendant.

Regular CSB hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET on weekdays, except next Tuesday, March 25, when it will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET, and Wednesday, March 26, from 8 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. ET.

School districts are encouraged not to wait until next Tuesday or Wednesday to file applications, assuming the Form 470 28-day waiting period has expired, as the USAC website sometimes experiences error messages and very long processing between pages.

Here is a list of CSB’s extended hours for the FY2014 filing window:

• Saturday, March 22, 2014, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET
• Sunday, March 23, 2014, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET
• Monday, March 24, 2014, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET
• Tuesday, March 25, 2014, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET
• Wednesday, March 26, 2014, 8 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. ET
