Name: Jacob Huss

Title: Account Manager

Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Jacob Huss has been part of the Gaggle family for the past year and a half. As an Account Manager, Jacob helps some of our larger districts transition to Gaggle's services, acting as an advocate for the districts across all three Gaggle teams: Operations, Sales, and Development. He is also involved in professional development for all districts that require training.

We asked Jacob five questions to get to know a little more about him and his time with Gaggle. Here’s what he had to say:

What are three words to describe Gaggle?

  • Family: I was afraid of losing a close work community environment when leaving my last job. Instead, I gained a whole new family.
  • Festive: Every Gaggle trip I take is memorable!
  • Focused: Everyone I work with is on a mission to keep students safe—this is what brings everyone in each week. It's rewarding to play a role in that cause!

What drew you to Gaggle?

I was looking for a very specific remote position that would allow me to work in the world of education without being in the education system. I also wanted a job that allowed me to build relationships with people.

What have you gained from working at Gaggle?

As mentioned before, a great work family! Working at Gaggle has given me the opportunity to partner with some of the biggest influencers in education across the country while learning and growing myself. I’ve also had the benefit of seeing the whole country as I travel, giving me an interesting perspective of the education system in America.

What is your proudest moment at Gaggle?

Listening to customer concerns and struggles, then helping create a professional development training plan that will address and answer those issues.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within Gaggle, whose job would you choose?

Boy, this feels like a loaded question! I think the only other job I would want besides the one I have is Jeff Patterson's. Not because I believe I could do better, but because I'd love to learn how to lead and support a company like he does at Gaggle.
